Campaign Scheduling Priority
This feature lets you start a new campaign and have it jump the line of currently scheduled mailings. This can save time if you want to send out a test mailing in front of an already scheduled campaign.

Database Optimization - DbOpto 7.2
After a complete system review of all database transactions we've found several bottle necks and corrected them. The result is version 7.2 DbOpto. The end result is clicks, views, unsubscribes respond faster to the user and bounces are processed faster. A new daemon program runs on the database server to handle updating campaign information from clicks/views/unsubs/bounces.

Users also get a complete and centralized log of all view/click/unsub/bounce activity from all machines in the database tables clickthru_log, viewed_log, unsub_log and bounce_log. The Optimizations also expand the number of active machines in a cluster.

Tunnelers - RbTun
Full production tested tunnelers are here. We completed the final stage of testing by successfully mailing across packet fragmenting and bandwidth saturated networks. Click For Prices.

robo-it
Take a peak behind the curtain on our development teams while they work on one of the coolest features that every RoboMailer has been waiting for! Code named robo-it, is a brand new utility tool that is going to be added to all the new licensed copies of RoboMail. That means no additional costs to current customers who are up to date with their licensing of RoboMail. Cool so far, eh?

  • what does robo-it do?
    • Whether you have a stand alone machine or a large array of machines this feature will be for you. In short, robo-it will allow you to modify ip allocation and dns for each and every one of your server(s) from a center command [roboadmin]. The goal of this feature, when completed, will give robomailers: a user friendly, web based interface (probably in the section where you edit your current clone configurations) to allow even the most non-technical people to change dns settings on the fly without logging into a single machine. A simple control panel for a complex configuration. Robomailers will have an easy and automated way of adding domains, modifying hostnames, changing ips, and more.

The implications to our CFO are profound, inter7 will loose money. We currently have plenty of clients who contact us daily to perform this service for them, and we don't do it for free. If you are one of those folks who currently contact us to add domains or ips to your robomail machines you're going to be even more excited because it is probably going to save you time and a ton of money, because you'll be able to simply "do it yourself". This is great news because it will gives robomailers the control and power for either setting up new RoboMail machine(s) or configuring your current RoboMail machine(s). Awesome so far?

    • so when is IT going to be ready?
    • Not soon enough for most, we are being told by those who have heard about it through the grapevine. Keep your pants on. IT is not going to be ready tomorrow. Here is the status of IT and where we are in the development of IT, DO keep your eyes and ears peeled when IT gets release because you are most definitely, most surely going to want it. Firstly, we have already started. Secondly, the chief development guru in charge of this feature has informed us last week that the main core code is done. Oh man sweet, awesome, totally hot! This means his team now has the task of writing the specific modules needed by our beloved robomailers... They of course need to test, and finally, put all the modules on top of the core code. Yes, it's really happening. Sure, it's still under development but we are really excited about the progress already made and even more excited about the capabilities of empowering our customers to have. The impact for a robomailer to have more automation is priceless, saving money does hurt neither wink, wink. Each and every morning we have a mandatory company wide status meeting that includes amongst a lot of other things, the update on robo-it. For those of us involved with robomail at inter7 but not working on the development side of this feature, it is a hot-hot topic for us to hear about all the news of how robo-it is moving right along. We are so stoked and we hope you will be too.

    • This can be used to pre-populate forms with, say email addresses. This pre-populated url redirect should improve conversion rates tremendously, we'll let you know some of our customers results when we hear back from them.
  • Some Database Improvements
    • Speed up post processing when server has large number of lists.
    • On post mail processing, support for removing failures from all lists or, for increased processing speed, support for removing the failures from just the list used on the mailing. We found some sites with large numbers of large lists would see very slow processing of failures since each failure email was checked against all lists. This new feature vastly increases post processing speed with little impact on list cleaning.

RoboMail's newest feature will have a trigger events program. This program can call any program when someone clicks on a link. Sounds pretty straight forward but what can you do with a triggered event? Take one example, for the customer we wrote the code for. Phone Call Triggering This customer wanted a mechanism to enable a link in the body of the message to pass along information to a PBX system that would phone the person who clicked on the link. Obviously the customer needed that personalized data in their list, and with the link - send a message to the PBX the person's name and phone number to call. The PBX system then called the person with a pre-recorded message about their product. Now I know what you are thinking, why didn't the link just go to an audio file (mp3/flash) that played the intended message? Well, it's the novelty of the idea, image how many people thought to themselves, " Can this computer link really call me? " Sure enough, the response was good. You too can now send engaging emails with trigger events.
